Planet Baobab is a quirky oasis at the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans. Accommodation is accessibly priced and family-friendly and consists of 3 family and 8 twin Bakalanga huts, all with en-suite bathrooms, and 7 twin Baobab huts which are slightly smaller and have the bathroom in a private separate hut.
There is a funky Afro-chic bar and restaurant with an original and vegetarian-friendly à la carte menu and a big swimming pool.
Getting there
Planet Baobab is accessible by two wheel drive. Look out for the Giant Aardvark statue on the road side, 200kms from Maun and 100kms from Nata. Road transfers are available from Maun and Gweta. You can also fly from Maun to Gweta.
