Savute Elephant Lodge
Belmond’s Savute Elephant lodge is located in the Chobe National Park – the elephant capital of the world. Perched on the banks of the Savute Channel, the lodge offers spectaculair views of elephants in their natural habitat. Savute is a bird lover’s haven with over 250 bird species, most of them native to this area. Offering two safari drives per day in different parts of the Savute area in which you may encounter lions, wild dogs, leopard, cheetahs, hyenas, as well as rare animal species such as roan and sable antelope.
All tented rooms are housed on raised wooden platforms, offering great views, and are shaded by a traditional African thatch roof. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a day bed, ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a dinner in complete privacy. The tents have an en suite bathroom plus an outside shower and a four poster bed complete with mosquito netting.
The lodge has a 20 meter swimming pool, a small reference library and same day complimentary laundry.
